Working with Binogi is somewhat of a passion project for the team at beyond intent, but it is also a way for us to widen our offering. The volatile world we’re living in right now demands resilience from all organisations, not just community centres in Lviv but also sustainability bureaus in Stockholm.
So, together with Läkarmissionen International, we are now launching a new project in Ukraine after the end of our latest Binogi project in Tanzania and Somalia. In early September our co-founder Erica Molin travelled to Lviv, Ukraine, to team up with our local partner Lviv Children’s Care Centres (CCC). The project focuses on health, education and safety, where we are responsible for the educational part, and is placed in two schools and two community centres visited by vulnerable children. The children receive food, security, therapy, education and a friendly place to be.
Erica held Binogi trainings with the staff of the centres, showing them what it is, how it works and how it can benefit the children, whether they are studying for tests or have been missing school due to fleeing their home. We are thrilled to receive reports that the children are already watching videos and taking quizzes!
Next steps for us are to approach the Ukrainian educational ministry, with the hope of offering them a tool that can be truly useful in the challenging situation they’re in. We hope that the students find Binogi useful, educational and fun!
